Displaying a potent running attack ans a strong defensive game the Bombers defeated the Yakima Pirates 19-0 in the first game of the season for both teams. With Bill Johnson, Kenny Ryan and Danny Neth leading the offensive attack, the Bombers ran around, through and over the undermanned Pirates. John Meyers, Gary Armstrong, Jim Williams, and Pat Crook led the defensive attack against the hapless Pirates.
