Welcome to Richland Bomber Football
Richland football began on October 11, 1912 with a visit to Kennewick. Though that first game didn't go their way, it kicked off a long, illustrious history that has continued, off and on, since that day.
The mascot has changed from Colts to Broncs and Beavers. Returning to football in 1944 after an 18 year hiatus, Richland football was truly a product of the Manhattan Project. Johnny Eubanks team was nicknamed the "All-Americans" with players hailing from 38 different states.
The Richland Bombers appeared the next season in 1945 after the end of World War II. Coach Fran Rish, having just recently been discharged from the Army, started at Col-Hi in 1946. His career as football, baseball coach and atheletic director spanned the next five decades.
There is plenty more to be found among the pages of bomberfootball.org, so please, peruse the history of football at Richland High School (Col-Hi). Select a head coach to view their records, or a specific season and explore the rosters, game programs, pictures, and news articles.
